Financial Turnaround Delivered Through Core Business Revival
Sunright Ltd achieved a significant financial turnaround in FY2026, delivering a decisive return to profitability following a challenging prior financial year. Group revenue expanded by 18% year-over-year, climbing from SGD 73.0 million in FY2025 to SGD 85.9 million in FY2026. This top-line expansion enabled the Group to reverse a net loss attributable to owners of the Company of SGD 5.8 million in FY2025, recording a net profit attributable to owners of SGD 1.4 million in FY2026. Full-year net profit after tax reached SGD 2.95 million, compared to a net loss after tax of SGD 7.1 million in the preceding year.
For investors, the underlying quality of this recovery is evidenced by a dramatic operational rebound in the core business. Segment-level performance reveals that the core Burn-in and Testing division led the recovery, swinging from a segment loss of SGD 9.1 million in FY2025 to a segment profit of SGD 3.1 million in FY2026. Operational execution was reinforced by higher plant loading, disciplined resource management, operational efficiency gains, and tactical asset optimization.
“After a challenging FY2025, the improvement in both our top and bottom lines marks an important step forward for the Group. Our customers’ evolving requirements continue to inspire us to develop new solutions to meet their needs.”
| Financial Metric | FY2025 | FY2026 | Year-over-Year Change |
| Revenue | SGD 73.0 million | SGD 85.9 million | +18% |
| Net Profit / (Loss) Attributable to Owners of the Company | (SGD 5.8 million) | SGD 1.4 million | Turnaround |

Surging Demand in Computing and Data Centers Powers Top Line
Top-line momentum accelerated noticeably in the second half of the financial year. Revenue for 2H FY2026 surged 20% to SGD 45.8 million, up from SGD 38.1 million in 2H FY2025.
Growth was driven by higher equipment deliveries and expanded burn-in and testing services. These activities were propelled by robust customer demand across computing and data center applications as the AI infrastructure cycle deepened.
Geographically, performance reflected shift patterns in customer global production allocation strategies. Malaysia remained the primary revenue driver, expanding 15% to SGD 50.0 million from SGD 43.7 million in FY2025. Singapore recorded a notable 52% increase, rising from SGD 5.3 million to SGD 8.1 million.
International sales also saw tactical shifts, with United States revenue growing 24% from SGD 5.7 million to SGD 7.1 million, offsetting a minor 7.5% contraction in Mainland China from SGD 12.8 million to SGD 11.9 million.
Aggressive Capex Allocation Prepares for Next-Generation Tech
Sunright expanded its capital allocation in FY2026 to prepare for upcoming high-specification technology cycles. Additions to property, plant, and equipment jumped significantly from SGD 6.7 million in FY2025 to SGD 23.6 million in FY2026.
This capital investment strategy signals high confidence in sustained medium-term demand across advanced power, AI accelerators, and networking semiconductors. Furthermore, outstanding capital commitments for property, plant, and equipment stood at SGD 6.4 million as of 31 July 2026, confirming that management is continuing to expand production capacity into FY2027.
Investors should note the near-term financial balance sheet trade-offs. The commissioning of newly acquired machinery and test equipment raised non-cash depreciation expenses by 8% to SGD 16.3 million in FY2026. Additionally, total loans and borrowings grew from SGD 18.1 million to SGD 20.8 million as at 31 July 2026 to finance ongoing capital additions.
One-Off Asset Disposals Bolster Operating Headlines
A detailed examination of earnings quality highlights the role played by non-operating gains in elevating headline numbers. Other income increased by over 100% in FY2026 to SGD 4.4 million, up from SGD 1.7 million in FY2025.
This surge was primarily powered by a SGD 2.8 million net gain on the disposal of property, plant, and equipment and assets held for sale, compared to a net gain of SGD 0.46 million in FY2025.
While proactive balance sheet management successfully monetized underutilized assets and unlocked capital, investors should separate these non-recurring gains from recurring operational profits when projecting normalized core earnings going forward.
Dividend Hike Supported by Strong Cash Reserves
Underpinned by the return to bottom-line profitability, the Board proposed a 50% increase in the first and final tax-exempt dividend, from 0.2 cents per share in FY2025 to 0.3 cents per share for FY2026. Total proposed dividend distributions amount to SGD 368,000.
The higher dividend payout is fully supported by exceptional cash flow generation and a pristine net cash balance sheet. Net cash flows from operating activities surged 142% year-over-year from SGD 6.6 million to SGD 16.1 million, demonstrating strong cash conversion behind reported net income.
Sunright closed FY2026 with SGD 88.3 million in cash and short-term deposits against SGD 20.8 million in total loans and borrowings. This provides a net cash position of SGD 67.5 million, offering defensive insulation against elevated borrowing costs and substantial flexibility for upcoming equipment investments.
What Investors Should Watch Next
Over the next 12 months, Sunright sits at the intersection of a powerful industry dynamic balance, featuring significant market opportunities paired with specific operational headwinds.
On the upside, market intelligence from Gartner projects worldwide semiconductor revenue to jump 92% from 2025 levels to reach USD 1.56 trillion (~USD 1.6 trillion) in 2026. This expansion is powered by sustained build-outs of AI infrastructure, AI-related edge applications, advanced power devices, and a broader memory price recovery.
“We are encouraged by the opportunities emerging across AI, advanced power and next-generation semiconductor applications. We will continue to build on the progress achieved in FY2026.”
On the downside, investors must monitor several execution risks. Global wafer foundries are aggressively reallocating capacity toward high-margin AI chips, which may create temporary supply constraints in non-AI segments and result in loading or delivery schedule fluctuations. External energy market disruptions also pose inflationary cost risks, while internal operational expenses have adjusted upward, including a 5% increase in employee benefits expense to SGD 35.1 million driven by higher variable compensation required to meet expanded plant output.
